PTO Comparison Manager — User Guide

If it's not available as default on your navbar:


Navigation Path:
App Launcher ▸ Equinox Corporate+ ▸ PTO Comparison Manager


The PTO Comparison Manager lists IP assets (Patents and Trademarks) retrieved from your IPMS database alongside their corresponding data from databases such as Questel or PTO sites.


From this screen, you can review discrepancies, approve or decline updates in bulk, and navigate to related record



Main Header: PTO Comparison Manager

This is the core tool for comparing IP data between systems.

Top controls:

? Search fieldSearch specific records by reference number, title, or type.
Expand AllExpands all grouped records for easier viewing.
⚙️ Show FiltersOpens filters to refine your view (by country, patent type, status, etc.).
? Tabs (Patent / Trade Mark)Switch between Patent or Trademark comparison results.
? More TabsAccess additional comparison categories if available.


Record List

Each record row represents one comparison entry, showing:

  • Reference: Hyperlink to the EC+ record (e.g., 159347038).

  • Country: Jurisdiction of the IP asset.

  • Patent Type: e.g., Claiming Priority, Continuation, Divisional.

  • Status: Number of pending discrepancies (e.g., “6 Pending”).

Actions (per record):

? Questel Patent Database LinkOpens the record in Questel for verification.
?️ PTO LinkOpens the official PTO site for this record.
Accept AllApproves all proposed updates from external data into Salesforce.
Decline AllRejects all proposed updates.
Uncheck AllClears all selections for manual review.

Pagination Controls

At the bottom:

  • Previous / Next — navigate through pages of results.

  • Page Indicator — shows the current page (e.g., “Page 1 of 149”).

  • Save — commit your accept/decline changes to Salesforce.



Typical Workflow

  1. Select the desired tab (Patent / Trademark).

  2. Search or filter for the record set you want to check.

  3. Expand All to see grouped items.

  4. Review discrepancies for each record.

  5. Click “Accept All” to synchronize updates into Salesforce or “Decline All” to reject.

  6. Click “Save” to apply your choices.


Tips

  • Use “Expand All” before exporting or reviewing large datasets.

  • Use filters to focus on specific countries or statuses.

  • Always Save before navigating away — unsaved actions are lost.

  • All changes will be stored and accessible via the case history section.
