Trademark Extension Workflow: Editing Nice Classes

With the new improvement, it will be possible to edit the class information as part of the extension workflow. 

Please note the following:

• Leaving the class field empty will result in the case not being created (except WIPO case) 
  • WIPO cases must contain at least one class 
• When using multiple classes, separate them with a semi-colon (eg: 5;6;7)
• WIPO designation cases must not include any class(es) that are not part of the original WIPO case
• Listing multiple classes for a single class jurisdiction will lead to an incorrect outcome as the system will create the new case using all the listed classes

Family Tree: Show legal status

The family tree shows a colored icon (red, orange, or green) next to each case depending on the legal status of the case. It also highlights the currently selected case in blue.

Trademarks: WIPO Case Improvements

The Trademark overview for WIPO designation cases is extended with new fields to give the possibility to record local filing related numbers and dates.

New fields:

• Local Application Number
• Local Registration Number
• Local Application Date

Additionally, the family tree was adjusted to accurately represent the parent-child relationship between the base trademark and the corresponding WIPO registration. Moving forward, the WIPO case will always appear under the base trademark it originates from, regardless of any priority claim.
