Salesforce Files

We are excited to announce the transition from the S-Drive document management system to the native Salesforce Files system. This change brings enhanced integration and a streamlined document management experience directly within Salesforce. It ensurs better integration and a unified experience within Salesforce. The shift to native Salesforce Files means that there is no longer a need for manual configuration or additional setup steps.

With this update, all core objects now include a dedicated document section. This new system offers the following features:

1. Preview: Users can now preview documents directly within Salesforce, making it easier to quickly view document contents without downloading them.
2. Versioning: Track document changes and access previous versions, ensuring that you always have a complete history of modifications. This feature is essential for maintaining document integrity and collaboration.
3. Public Link: Share documents externally with ease using public links, enhancing collaboration with external partners and stakeholders.

Future Enhancements

Over the coming months until the end of 2025, we plan to introduce additional features to further enhance document management within our IPMS solution:

• Folder Management: Better organize your documents with comprehensive folder management capabilities.
• Check-in/Checkout: Manage document access more effectively with check-in/checkout functionality, preventing conflicts and ensuring that only one user can edit a document at a time.
• Multiple Case Links: Link documents to multiple cases. 

Case Links

The Case Links features received new improvements.

• The list of supported cases is extended with families.
• It became possible to link Trademarks indicating EU Trademark Seniority relationship.
• The links between cases are restricted to only allow realistic IP relationships.

EU TM claiming seniority TM: the trademark which covers the EU's 27 member states. 

Other Enhancements

• PTO Comparison incorrectly uses "In Force"
• Create primary owner entity during Patent or TM creation
• Update Task type to new value where pre-set task has its task type as blank
• Country lookup field: be able to search by country name OR country Code
• Hide the renewals notifications section when fields are empty
• Remove Patent Type suggestion
• Edit the help text on Family title

• System displaying Wrong trademark Links
• Wrong fields displayed CN patent
