In addition to list view editing, Equinox Corporate+ offers a powerful way to update large volumes of data at once using the Import Tool. This is especially useful for updating records such as patents, invoices, or trademark cases, particularly when working with large datasets.

When to Use the Import Tool

Use the Import Tool when:

  • You need to update more than 200 records at once
  • You already have your data changes organized in a spreadsheet
  • The fields you're updating are not editable directly from list views

Step-by-Step: How to Bulk Edit Records Using the Import Tool

1. Export Existing Data

Export the records you want to update so you can get the required Record IDs.

  1. Use a report or list view to export the relevant records.
  2. Ensure the Record ID column is included in the export.
  3. Save the file as a CSV.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Test first: Start with a small batch of records to confirm everything updates correctly.
  • Keep Record IDs intact: These are required to update existing records.
  • Save a backup: Always keep a copy of your original data before making mass changes.
  • Need help? Contact your Equinox Corporate+ administrator if you’re unsure which fields are editable.
