Separation of User and System Actions in “Created/Modified By” Fields

As a client I would like the automatically created tasks from Docketing Rules and Renewal Rules to be created as the System and not as the user updating the bibliographic data.

  • 4 new audit fields on major objects:
    1. Created By
    2. Created Date
    3. Updated By
    4. Updated Date
  • User updates to records are recorded in the Created By/Updated By with their username
  • Subsequent actions triggered by the system are recorded in the Created By/Updated By with the System

 

This feature introduces new “Created By” and “Modified By” fields that distinguish between actions performed by the user and those triggered automatically by the system. This allows for clear tracking of activities in Salesforce, ensuring that user-triggered modifications are attributed to the correct user account, while system-driven changes (e.g., workflows, process builders, automation) are labelled under system actions.

  • User Actions: Logged and displayed under the user’s account name in the "Created/Modified By" fields.
  • System Actions: Automated actions (e.g., from workflows, triggers) are attributed to System instead of the user.

 

This feature provides precise insight into who performed each action and helps maintain audit trails by separating manual user activities from system-initiated processes.

    1. 2 new reports created for handling Pavis renewals:
      • New Patents since GoLive
      • Updated Grant Date
  • Incorrectly Application Date as Priority Date
  • Update the subject line of automatically closed renewal tasks to help identification

  • Extension Workflow Shows Success Message Despite Record Creation Failing
  • Trademark Priority Date does not take the oldest application date
  • Trademark docketing rule and pre-sets are not well imported (base date mapping issue)
  • Remove Managing Associate duplication from patent/trademark workflows
  • Wrong Reference: my autonumber increment 10 per 10
  • Issue with updateReferenceField for Trademarks (and potentially Design, Patent and Family)
  • UI Change: block multiple click on "Add trademark(s) to avoid multiple entries
  • The task "REMINDER: Add next batch of renewal tasks" is created twice
