3. Choosing Designated or Subsequent Designation

Upon selecting "Create National Right of Madrid", you'll be prompted to designate the countries where you seek trademark protection. You will also see an option asking if it’s a designated country or a subsequent designation. It's essential to understand the difference between designated countries and subsequent designation trademarks:

Designated Countries: These are the initial countries where trademark protection is sought during the application filing process.

Subsequent Designation Trademarks: This option allows for the expansion of trademark protection to additional countries after the initial filing.

4. Generating the Case

The final step involves generating the case within EC+, where all relevant information, including bibliographic details and descriptions of goods/services (aligned with Nice classes), will be automatically transferred into the system. This ensures the creation of a comprehensive trademark family within EC+.

By following these steps, you can effectively utilize the capabilities of EC+ to create trademark extensions with ease.
