In Equinox Corporate+, initiating direct filings for first filing extensions in specific jurisdictions is a straightforward process that optimizes efficiency and accuracy. This guide will walk you through the steps of creating direct filings, utilizing the platform's intuitive interface and extension workflows.

 

Step 1: Accessing Direct Filing Option

Navigate to the application for which you intend to make a direct filing within Equinox Corporate+.

Look for the "Extensions Workflows" option located at the top right corner of the interface. Click on it to proceed.

Step 2: Selecting Jurisdictions for Direct Filing

Upon accessing the Direct Filing option, you will encounter a list of jurisdictions eligible for direct filings.

Choose the jurisdiction(s) where you wish to file your application directly. You can select multiple jurisdictions simultaneously if required.

Step 3: Reviewing Application Details

Once the workflow is initiated, you will be directed to a summary page displaying all the details pertinent to your application.

Review the imported information carefully, including applicant details, priority information, and application data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.

Step 4: Confirmation and Tracking

Upon successful submission, you will be able to track the progress of each application within Equinox Corporate+.

Monitor important deadlines and milestones associated with each direct filing to stay informed about the status of your applications.

After the filings are submitted, you can conveniently monitor each application's progress within the platform, eliminating the need to manually track deadlines and tasks associated with each case.

 

Note: Direct filing workflows will only activate off of “first filing” and “provisional” patent types.
