In Equinox Corporate+, efficient management of patent cases begins with establishing a patent family and then proceeding to create individual patent cases within that family. This guide will take you through the process of creating a patent case, ensuring that you have all the necessary information to initiate effective intellectual property management.

Prerequisite:

Before creating a patent case, ensure that you have created a patent family. A patent family serves as a container for related patent cases, providing a structured approach to organizing your intellectual property assets.

Step 1: Create a Patent Family:

Go to the Patent Families tab in Equinox Corporate+ or click “New Family” in the Family lookup field.

Click the "New" button to start creating a new patent family.

Fill in the required Family Title field. This will likely be the name of the invention disclosure or the priority filing you intend to make (or have made.)

Optionally, add any additional information such as description or custom fields if necessary.
